Greed

Greed. Excess want for status, wealth, and power.

"...greed is an inordinate desire to acquire or possess more than one needs or deserves, especially with respect to material wealth."

I tried to symbolize a lot of stuff.

The mirror represents how he feels he needs to look. you can see that the purple emote is fantasizing about having it all. He wants wealth (the gold and jewls) a power (the king crown), and feels that he should be respected and lifted above by others, hence the fact that the other emotes are lifting him up and smiling, showing how they look up to him.

The empty room symbolzes how he actually is. It's a vast empty space, which is how the emote feels inside, that he has nothing.

His face tells all. The real one is almost hypnotized by this vision (white eyes, no pupils) and that he has an aggressive want for this, (take a look at the eyebrows. It's not very obvious but it's there) and will do anything. The mirror side he has a playful face, almost teasing. He looks at the real one like "why not?"

This was originally for *dhikssy's vanity contest, hence the purple/violet theme, but it more or less turned into greed .

I started this in the beginning of the summer, and finally got around to putting in the final touches a few days ago.

God, the pixeling was a pain. I had to completely redo the mirror quite a few times, as it wouldn't fit. The background was extremely annoying, as I do not like dithering. I much prefer playing with opacity instead, but that wasn't working, and I thought I needed a more traditional style anyway.

The gold piles actually were a lot of fun. Yey gold

So because this really isn't vanity anymore, I'm not going to submit it to the vanity contest I'm sorry *dhikssy. I do appreciate that you did say that I could if I wanted too though.

Instead I think I'll submit it to the #EmoticonOpus impact contest. There is an aweful lot of great entries too, so this should be fun
